Asking for Prayers...

Please keep two very special people to me in your prayers.

One is my grandmother. She is having a cardiac cath tomorrow. She has been in a great deal of pain lately. Hopefully the doctors can figure out what is going on soon and give her some relief.

Another is one of our students. She was in a terrible accident last week. She remains in critical condition at Kosair. Brittney and I saw her on Friday, and plan to go again soon so we will keep you updated.

Thank you all!

Living Room Camping

As if we didn't already have enough "stuff" that we don't really have room for :), we now have a tent in our living room! :) I remember as a kid having one of those tents with a tunnel going into it. My brother, sister, and I spent hours in that thing. Even sleeping in it some nights. I found one the other day, and thought Addy would enjoy it as well. I was right! She's been having some good times in her tent!

In and out she goes!

Peek-a-boo!

17 months old

This is almost too crazy for me to believe. Little Miss Adalynn Grace turned 17 months old today!!! Man, is she growing up fast! This is a really fun age though. Her vocabulary and things she picks up on amaze us everyday. I do wish I had some magic time machine sometimes though to slow things down a little. :)

Here is our big 17 month old putting on mommy's sunglasses.

Silly girl! Love this picture!

Happy 17 months Addy Grace! We LOVE you more than words can ever express!

Pumpkin Pickin'

One thing we were really excited to do this fall was go pumpkin pickin' at Huber's! Last Sunday, we did just that! We had a great time! Addy especially loved it! Perfect activity for a 16 month old who is on the go and is no longer content being pushed around in the stroller.

Mommy and Addy posing on some hay bales.

Sitting in between mommy and daddy on the wagon ride or tractor as Addy calls it. (First time we heard her say that one)! She was a little unsure at first, but ended up loving it!

Showing mommy where we might find the perfect pumpkin.

Still searching.

I think we found it!

She was very determined to hold it on her own. Little too heavy though!

Worn out from all this pumpkin pickin!

What a fun day!

New Backpack

Nick found this Mickey backpack and knew Adalynn had to have it! She loves it and cracks us up wearing it around the house!

Miss Picky Picky

Most people that know Adalynn know that she happens to be one PICKY eater. She has been that way ever since she has started eating baby food. For some reason, it's just not something she enjoys doing.

My child doesn't like to eat?!? How can that be? As it turns out, I was quite the picky eater myself when I was younger.

She appears to be enjoying a snack here. Not really so though. See how the food is all crunched? She's more of a player than an eater. Here she's eating those little pretzel nuggets with peanut butter inside. Some of the crunching I did when I was giving it to her though.

Addy has a few choice foods she will eat. Yogurt is a favorite of hers. She also likes scrambled eggs, green beans, bananas, pizza, strawberries, peas, raisins, popcorn, pretzels, oatmeal, certain soups, goldfish and corn. Doesn't sound too bad I guess. Most of the foods she eats are pretty healthy. However, even when she does eat, it's like 5 bites and she's done.

Dr.'s say to let kids like this "graze" all day, which we do. The only thing is, feeding our child is turning into a full-time job because we are constantly offering foods which she rejects. Then, we try again a little while later.

When she does eat a decent meal, her little tummy must feel so much better, and she is in a lot better of mood. I hope this phase is over soon because it is wearing me out!

Sorry for my venting on her pickiness... I wasn't really trying to write a novel. :) I'm just worried because she has gone from the 95th percentile in weight to the 60th in a matter of months. Her Dr. doesn't seem too concerned, so that's good!
