time is flying!

My oh my! February is flying by, and I think this is only my second post of the month. I promise to do better in March! We are ready for spring around here!

Between work, my IUS class, after school tutoring that I do twice a week, and of course Miss Addy... I have been a busy lady lately!

I wanted to hop on real quick and share some of Addy's new doings.

* Nick and I now have to spell a lot of words rather than say them. This is because, if you say certain words around Adalynn, she gets all excited and thinks we are talking about right this second. For example, we cannot say anything about Nana. If she hears Nana's name she gets all excited and brings us her shoes, and demands to go now! One day I told her we were going there later. Big mistake! Once she figured out we weren't going now, she threw an epic tantrum. Oh yes! We see some of these now too.

*Another word we have to spell around her rather than say is outside. This girl loves being outside! We love taking her out there too. The only problem is, she NEVER gets tired of playing outside. One day when it was nice, we were out for going on 2 hours. Finally, I told her it was time to go in. This ended in the biggest tantrum yet. I'm really afraid that one of these days the neighbors are going to call 911 because she sounds like she's being hurt. After I finally got her in she was bringing me my shoes back and saying, "Outside pease!" over and over. It took her a while to calm down. Poor Addy just doesn't understand yet.

*We have been seeing Adalynn's sensitive side more and more. She might be just like her mama because I am rather sensitive myself (Nick might say I am overly sensitive! ha!) I had a boo boo on my hand a while back, and Adalynn would grab my hand and rub it, and say "Awww boo boo." She looked really sad and concerned the whole time. Sweet girl.

She also has this Mickey Mouse book. In one of the pictures, Goofy's boat is sinking and his face looks a little scared. Adalynn flips straight to that page and dwells on it every time she gets that book out. She says, "Aww Goof Goof! No! Awww!"

Something she did yesterday really surprised me though. We were watching a little TV while waking up. I had a Sesame Street on that I had recorded for her. In the episode Zoe can't find her pet rock named Rocco. Elmo lost it while watching it for her, and she gets all mad at him. So Zoe is all sad about her pet rock while also being mad at Elmo. This scenario was too much for little Addy to handle. Zoe starts crying a little bit which makes Addy say, "Oh no!" Adalynn then begins crying too! Poor Addy! I had to assure her it was okay, and then turn it off. Really Sesame Street? We like to keep our shows positive! haha!

We love our sweet, sensitive girl! Tantrums and all! :)
