Adalynn has been doing some new things lately! For one thing, she is now pulling up! I knew she would when she was ready. She has also started waving bye bye. It's so cute. Sometimes, she needs help getting her arm going. Then, it doesn't stop! :)
She has also started looking at us and saying mama and
dada. She's said these words for a while, but we could never quite tell if she knew which one was which or what she was saying. She definitely knows now!
She will drink formula out of a bottle! It used to be that she wouldn't even take a bottle. Then, she only would if it was breast milk (and really warm). We joked that she needed it to be 98.6 degrees. She still prefers breast milk, but will take formula if she has to. This is a huge relief because I don't have anymore stocked in the freezer.
One of her favorite things to play with now is a ball. She has several, and doesn't really seem to have a favorite yet. We just bought her a new purple one today at Toys R Us. One of hers makes this funny noise like a whistle when it rolls which she finds to be hilarious. We sit on the living room floor and roll it back and forth. Never gets old to her! :)
She has officially traded her infant
car seat for a new "big girl" seat. This made me a little sad. I can't carry her seat in anywhere if she falls asleep in the car. Plus, the fact that she's not in the infant seat anymore is sad in itself. It was time though. For one thing, she surpassed the weight limit of 22 lbs. Her new seat actually looks comfier! It's super cute. All pink! I know she's safer in this one now. It does not budge when you try to move it back and forth! We wanted to get it before our big trip to FL.
She's still facing backwards. The requirements for forward facing are 22 lbs and 1 year. I did a little research because I was thinking to myself how much more she would probably enjoy facing forward. I was thinking, "She is past the weight limit. How much of a difference could a couple of months make?" It said that one study proved it to be 5 times safer for babies to face backward. Some moms choose to keep them facing backward even past a year. So, she will remain facing backward. I'm sure I've told you more than you wanted to know about
car seats!
Can't believe our girl turns 10 months old in 4 days!!! It just doesn't seem possible! We are loving this age and all of the fun new things happening everyday!
